CTLR Meeting
Thursday 3rd March 2022 at 6pm
Rait Village Hall
Members are invited to a meeting with PKC to discuss issues relating to Cross Tay Link Road (CTLR). The CTLR (to be completed in 2024) will link the A9 dual carriageway across the Tay to the Scone Road just below the Scone aerodrome.
The CTLR dual carriageway will extend the by-pass around Perth depositing potentially large amounts of traffic on the A94 Scone to Coupar Angus road. The missing link in the Perth by-pass is unfortunately routes across the Braes of the Carse roads down to the A90 dual carriageway.
It was agreed at the BCCG meeting on the 16th of February 2022 that we ask PKC to take as many steps as possible to reduce the volume of traffic crossing the Braes roads – including setting a 30mph limit on all the single track roads between the A94 and the A90. This will hopefully result in sat nav travel times routing the traffic around the Braes of the Carse rather than straight across us.
It is important that we try to seek as many ways as possible to protect our roads/walking and cycling roads and communities from potentially significant increases in non-local traffic using our roads as rat-runs between the A90 and the CTLR.
Please come along to the meeting to show your support for protecting our roads and communities.
Non-members welcome.
